Fenwicks Haulage is a privately-owned transport company specialising in food, pharmaceutical, and automotive logistics. We thrive on our excellent reputation for great customer service and aim to be the best in our industry for our timeliness, professionalism, and expertise. Fenwicks is accredited with the BRC Global Standard for Storage and Distribution and ISO 9001.
We first started trading as Fenwicks Haulage from a small farming community, and our first truck was used to carry stones and aggregates from the local quarries. We purchased our first car transporter in 1990 and we were possibly the first independent transport company ever to start moving cars. In 2004, we bought our first 18-tonne truck and have expanded ever since.
A lot has changed since 1986, including the expansion of our fleet and change in premises. As of 2019, we own over 50 trucks, ranging from 1.5-tonne vans to articulated lorries – which can hold 26 GKN pallets! We relocated our headquarters in 2011 to expand our fleet and house our friendly logistics team. Our new premises include our own garage, which allows us to maintain our fleet on-site and prevent any unnecessary delays due to mechanical faults.
Our fleet and services suit a variety of different needs. We offer high quality single or multiple temperature transportation, including frozen, refrigerated and ambient deliveries.We also offer car transport and contract logistics. Working around the clock, 24/7, we can offer same-day and emergency deliveries.
As a haulage company with a large fleet, we are conscious of our vehicles' effect on the environment. Therefore, with the use of telematics, low-energy lights and low-friction fuel we are able to lower our carbon-footprint and manage a more eco-friendly fleet.
Awards are a huge testament to our hard work and commitment to great customer service. Our Managing Director, Dave Ward, was awarded the Road Haulage Association's Director of the Year Award. Our Operations Director, Tommy McGregor-Smith was a finalist for the Transport Manager of the Year award.
